i am claudine wong. >> i am in for mike mibach. >> it was gorgeous when i stepped outside, rosemary. >> we are with fog this morning, you can see over union scare and it is patchy fog and crossed over into the east bay. we will be left with sunny conditions and temperatures just as warm as yesterday. >> look at the satellite. we have it again and into the east bay. but i expect early clearing. and this is very disorganized as you can see here. it will stay with us and be relatively week. fairfield right now 13 miles an hour. we will be a little bit stronger for the afternoon. temperatures are going to be nice, mild to warm tee pending on where you are at. >> 61 in walnut creek and low 60s in oakland and cool start for you in napa. and certain, 58 in san jose.

get a load of the numbers. >> and 79 in hayward. another warm one. upper 80s. mostly sunny and mild along the coast. 69 today in had pacifica. as we get into the holiday. temperatures will continue to climb. we will have the extended forecast coming up. this is in the south bay, they have stunned bus and rail transportation. >> the gunman shoot at two men on second street. one of the victims was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. there is no transit between saint jayme assist and santa clara streets -- st. james streets.

and we will follow this developing story throughout the morning. livermore police are investigating a shooting that injured five people. it happened just before 12:30 on south q street. ally rasmus is live -- allie rasmus is live. >> reporter: this is an unusual crime for the city. because of that, there is a real sense of urgency. they have got 18 officers on this case. right now they are in the process of interviewing the witnessness and the victims of the shooting. this is where the shooting happened. this is south q street and in livermore. it was around 12:30 and crime scene technicians are out here collecting evidence. few officers looking through the area and making sure they are not missing any evidence for the crime. it started with the house party here. there are about 20 people at the party. late teens and early 20s. three men from out-of-town

showed up at the party. there was some sort of argument between the three men. the party guests and the three men were told to leave. they did. and 30 minutes later, a white sedan pulled up in front of the house and they opened fire. >> three women and two men. none of the victims have life-threatening injuries. all are expected to survive. all of the other people at the party this evening. and they still need more information to find the suspects. >> if anybody we haven't talked to knows something, they can call and they do remain anonymous. and they are nervous to come forward and we will respect people's desire to remain anonymous. back here live, you can see some of the livermore police officers. part of the area is closed off as the investigation continues. investigators are trying to figure out whether or not this is a gang related shooting. at this point they don't know and the three men who were

kicked out of the party are believedded to be the prime suspects. they would like to locate them and talk to them. >> they are not from livermore. they may be from the central value and possibly stockton. >> again, the vehicle that they were supposedly driving. last seen around 1:00 on q street. and livermore police are working the case. and they are expected to have more updates later on this morning. >> we get more information. >> allie rasmus channel 2 news. they are investigating the single car crash that killed the driver. it happened around one and miranda avenue. chp said the driver of the jaguar went off the roadsway and hit a light pole before the car caught fire and track trapped the driver inside. >> the vehicle wind off the roadway. it looks like it hit a light

pole. couple of mailboxes and a fence before coming to rest. seems the vehicle caught fire with one occupant trapped inside. >> no one else was in the car. >> they are looking into whether speed or alcohol played a role in the crash. it is still too early to say why the driver lost control. >> it marks one week since it shook napa. >> hours ago, the earth started shaking again. >> it shook southwest napa at 1:56 this morning. that was the same time the quake hit last week at 3:20 a.m. we have no reports of serious injuries. and there are a dozen of after shocks in the region since last weekend end. they are coming to the aid of people. they are providing special services to quake victims. redwood credit union is offering loans. and bank of napa is

establishing a disaster relief fund. >> sonoma county had damage. they declared it a local emergency which allows them to get state and federal recovery assistance. services will go on this morning at scheduled at the first baptist church. the brick building was damaged in the quake and briefly red tagged and access to the bell tower is limited. >> pastors and parishioners are keeping the church open. they serve hot meals to 200 people a day. >> some merchants say they are struggling to get the businesses back open after the quake. >> sprinkler pipes broke and flooded the building. >> they brought in a salon on wheels to get her going again. her plans had to be on hold. they had to move the makeshift trail remember. the trailer couldn't be in a construction zone. >> help me keep my team

police car. it happened at 1:30 yesterday afternoon on third avenue and east 12th street. the officer was responding to the call when he turned on to east 12th and hit the man crossing the street. >> police say the officer was not driving fast. >> one woman who didn't want to show us her face said it is a dangerous intersection. >> i am not sure a stop sign would have helped. so they can run the stop signs. i do know there are accidents out here all the time. >> police are looking for video or witnesses who can help with their investigation. >> anyone with information is asked to call the traffic division. happening today. it is going to hold the first ever gay pride parade. it is all party of the activities. it brought 30,000 people to the city last year. the parade starts at 10. then the festival gets underway at 11:00 a.m. at 11th and

49ers linebacker aldon smith was arrested last september on dui charges. authorities say they investigated this morning and then took mcdonald into custody on felony domestic violence charges. the sacramento bee reports it was a birthday party for mc donald what other 49er players onhand. aldon smith was not one of them. this arrest comes days after nfl commissioner roger goodell allowed a strict suspension poly is in domestic violence cases. the league was criticized for being too lienianiant on -- lenient on ray rice. the new policy calls for a six- game suspension for the first offense and a lifetime ban for the second offense. stay tuned to ktvu as well as facebook and twitter for all updates on his arrest. we're following developing news in berkeley, where authorities are urging everyone to stay indoors who live in the areas of ashby and russell and pine streets.

the chp is searching for a suspect following a chase that started in walnut creek. there are reports that the suspect is an armed carjacker. >> livermore police are investigating a shooting that injured five people. it happened just before 12:po this morning on south q street. allie rasmus is live for us in livermore where she has been talking to police this morning. >> reporter: well, livermore police say this is an unusual crime for this neighborhood, an unusual crime for the city. they've had their investigators working on this since the early- morning hours. 12:30 this morning, when it happened. this is the where this shooting happened. this is on south q street and third street. there was a house party going on apparently. if we zoom in, we can see some of the evidence of the house party. there is a case of beer and some chairs out on the front lawn. now, this investigation is still active. police have part of the block closed off. we continue to see officers and crime scene technicians going in and out of home gathering evidence. livermore police say there were 20 people in the home.

all in their late teens, early 20s. they men from out of town showed you. there was some sort of argument and the three men were told to leave. they did. about 30 minutes later a white sedan pulled up to the front of the house, someone inside that vehicle opened fire. five people were struck. three women and two men. according to the police, the victims have non-life- threatening gunshot injuries. a woman showed up to the scene and was supposed to be the the party and was shocked to hear what happened. >> they are my friends. to me, it's not expected. they usually only invite people they know. so i didn't think any of this would happen. if i did, i would have came over right away. i just hope everyone is okay. >> there's suspicion this might be a gang-related shooting. but we don't know. we're trying to connect the dots. we're hoping that someone could call us if they want to remain

the driver inside. >> the vehicle went off the roadway into a residential area. it looks like it hit a light pole, a couple of mailboxes and fence before coming to rest. it seems that the vehicle caught fire with one occupant trapped inside. >> no one else was in the car. the chp is looking into whether speed or alcohol played a role in that crash but they say it's still too early to say why the driver lost control. today marks one week since the 6.0 earthquake shook napa. hours ago, you might have felt it. it wasn't your imagination. yes, the earth was shaking again. the usgs reports a 3.2 quake shook napa at 1:56 a.m. that's nearly the same time as last sunday's quake which hit at 3:20 a.m. so far, we've not gotten many reports of serious damage or injuries from this latest shaking. there have been dozens of aftershocks in the region since last weekend. banks in napa are coming to the aid of customers.

the bank of napa and the redwood credit union are providing special services. the redwood credit union is offering interest-free loans. while napa was hit the hardest, sonoma county had $5 million in damage. sonoma county officials have declared a local emergency there, which does allow residents to get state and federal recovery assistance. the first baptist church in vallejo is holding a sunday morning service at this hour. despite sustaining heavy damage. the 145-year-old brick building was briefly red tagged. access to the belt tower is limited. but pastors and parishioners are keeping the church open. the church serves hot meals to 200 people a day. some her chearnts are struggles. a hair salon was ruined when sprinkler pipes broke and flooded the building. the owner brought in a salon on wheels in an effort to get her

mcdonald remains in the santa clara county jail after being arrested on felony domestic violence charges. san jose police released this booking photo of mcdonald. just before 3:00 a.m., officers responded to a disturbance call on bentley bridge drive. that's the same street where aldon smith was arrested last september on dui charges. police tell us they arrested mcdonald this morning after investigating the situation. the sacramento bee reports it was a birthday party for mcdonald with other 49er players onhand. but ail don smith was not one of them. and moments ago, the 49ers just released a statement from the general manager. it says "the 49ers' organization is aware of the recent reports regarding ray mcdonald and we take such matters seriously as we continue to gather the facts. we'll reserve further comment." livermore police are investigating a shooting that injured five people the it happened before 1:30 this morning on south q street. ktvu's allie rasmus is live in

livermore where she just got an update from police. >> reporter: i just got off the phone with livermore police. they say within the past 15 minutes, three people have been taken into custody in connection with the shooting that happened here. all of them are males. two adults and a juvenile. according to livermore police, none of them are from livermore. one of the individuals is from stockton. we're not sure about the other two. but at this point, they are considered persons of interest in this shooting investigation. the shooting that happened here behind me, this is a home on 200 south q street near third street. you can see there are still a number of investigators out in front of the home. part of the street is roped off to traffic. it all stems from a house party that happened around 12:30 this morning. livermore police say there are about 20 people at the party all in their late teens and early 20s when three men from out of town showed up. there was an argument between them and one of the guests. the three men were told to leave. they did and about 30 minutes later, a white sedan pulled up to the front of the house, someone inside the vehicle

opened fire. this is a quiet neighborhood. we've talked to a number of neighbors, all of them say this is very unusual for this area. some of them heard the commotion. >> just five really loud pops. simultaneous like back to back, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang. >> reporter: five people were struck by the gunfire. three men and two women. police say the victims have not been identified but they are all expected to survive their injuries. we talked to a woman who showed you up to the scene she told us she was supposed to be at the party and was shocked to hear what happened. >> they are my friends. to me, it's not expected. usually they only invite people they know. so i didn't think any of this would happen. if i did, i would have came over here right away. but i guess -- i just hope everyone is okay. >> reporter: now, again, just to repeat. in the last 15 minute, livermore police have taken three people into custody in connection with this shooting.

at this early stage in the investigation, those three individuals are being considered persons of interest. livermore police are getting ready to interview them right now. but the three individuals all males two adults and one juvenile and again police say they are all from out of town. none of them are livermore residents. we'll have more information on this story throughout the afternoon. you can stay with ktvu online and on twitter. live in livermore, allie rasmus, ktvu channel 2 news. a shore man was killed and two others injured after falling hundreds of feet off a cliff in daly city. the three broke through a fence running along the cliff near pally sides park at westridge avenue around 4:30 in the morningth they fell 250 to 300 feet to the beach below. firefighters say the man who died was 29-year-old sean carrington. two others were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. the mixed martial arts fighter known as war machine has been extradited from california to las vegas to face

charges in the brutal beating of his formal girlfriend. prosecutors say the attack am happened at the las vegas home early this month and injured one of her friend. she's recovering from broken bones near her eye, a broken nose and missing teeth. he was arrested a week after the attack after fleeing to the los angeles air area. he faces felony assault, battery and coercion charges. caltrans says traffic has been flowing smoothly from the peninsula into san francisco despite the closure of 280. caltrans closed 280 from the 101 interchange to king street for retrofit work. northbound traffic is being detoured onto highway 101. two hinges are being replaced that should allow the roadway to expand and contract during the earthquake. the freeway is scheduled to reopen by 5:00 on tuesday. the driver of a cement truck suffered minor injuries after crashing on highway 4 in

antioch. it happened at about 7:10 yesterday morning there the loma boulevard exit. the highway patrol shut down all westbound lanes until the wreckage could be removed. the lanes reopened about four hours later. two northern california wildfires sparked by lightning three weeks ago are still threatening hundred of holes. firefighters say the fire -- holes. firefighters say the fires are burning near happy camp are threatening as many as 250 homes an cabins near the oregon stateline. close to 20 fires broke out after a thunderstorm. the fires have merged and have charred more than 90 square miles. wineries and restaurants in the napa valley say they are not letting the quake or its aftershocks stay open. tourist generates 1.4 billion a year for the region. the labor day weekend and the start of the harvest are traditionally two big draws. while last sunday's quake

damaged some inventory, many merchants are trying to get the word out that they are still open for business. >> every hotel and us have gotten many, many calls to ask, is it still okay to come? are we gonna have a great time? should we plan for a better time. we've been able to say please come. you will be fine. >> the labor day weekend usually draws 25,000 visitors to the napa valley. a week later, there are new images of the violent shaking. this is footage of the train. the camera shows the train rocking side to side. it did have to be shut down following the quake. it reopened three days earlier a after everything was inspected. the state has ended its session by sending a stack of bills to jerry brown's desk to await his signature. one of the most closely watched measures would require employees in the state to offer three days of said pick leave to workers. some opposed the bills.

ticket information. a texas family was brought to tears by a random act of kindness by a group of firefighters. 65-year-old john mccormick collapsed while mowing his front yard. firefighters revived him and then followed the ambulance to the hospital. those firefighters then drove back to mccormick's house and finished the mowing the lawn for hill. a neighbor took the picture of the firefighters in action. after they were finished, they left a handwritten note that said we feel bad that your husband didn't get to finish the yard so we did. >> just something to help someone out in the worst time of their life. >> it just showed me that there's still compassion. that people still do random acts of kindness. >> sadly, mccormick died two days later. but the family said the firefighters' actions helped restore their faith in humanity. nursing baby squirrels back
